VPN77 Setup Guide

Once your subscription is active, here is how to configure your operating system. Please have your Username, Password and address of the server you want to connect.

  1. Open Network and Sharing Center in the Control Panel, click Setup a new connection or network, choose Connect to a workplace then Next
    • Go to the Windows Menu, then Control Panel
    • Click on Network and Internet
    • Click on Network and Sharing Center
  2. Click Use my Internet Connection (VPN)
  3. In the Internet address field, type one of the VPN77 server addresses
  4. In the Destination name field, type VPN77
  5. Check Don’t connect now then click Next
  6. Type in your Login and Password in their respective fields
  7. Check Remember this password
  8. Click Create and then Close
  9. Open VPN Connection Properties
  10. In Network and Sharing Center, click Change adapter settings
  11. Right-click your new connection (VPN77) and click Properties
  12. Configure for L2TP/IPsec
  13. On the Security tab, change from Automatic to Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol with IPsec (L2TP/IPsec)
  14. On the Security tab, click Advanced settings
  15. Choose Use pre-shared key for authentication and insert the secret key from your client panel
  16. Double Click on Ok and Connect
  1. Open ‘Networks and Sharing Center’ from ‘Control Panel’
  2. Choose ‘Set up a new connection or Network’
  3. Choose ‘Connect to a workplace, click ‘Next’
  4. Click on ‘Use my Internet connection (VPN)’
  5. In Internet address field type one of the VPN77 server addresses
  6. In the Destination name field type VPN77. Also check Don’t connect now, just set it up so I can connect later, and then Click ’Next’
  7. Enter your username and password from the client control panel in the next window and click Create
  8. Click Close to return to the Network and Internet
  1. Download and install OpenVPN
  2. For 32-Bit Choose OpenVPN 32
  3. For 64-Bit Choose OpenVPN 64
  4. Click Save File
  5. Start the installation and wait until it’s done
  6. Once installed, Download the configuration files from your client area and paste them in following path: C: Program Files \ OpenVPN \ config
  7. Once done, click Start, click All Programs, and click OpenVPN OpenVPN GUI
  8. In the Windows sys-tray area, look for the OpenVPN logo
  9. Right-click on it, select the server you want to connect to and click Connect
